Your tasks

  • Planning and administering transport orders in close collaboration with fellow planners, both road transport by road and tractions in the context of intermodal transport.
  • Timely and correct processing of orders. (according to legal framework, customer and company requirements)
  • Meeting customer target with regard to incidents and customer complaints per period.
  • Return per order.
  • Assessing received orders for feasibility in particular loading and unloading time and specific customer requirements:
  • Accepting orders or rejecting them with reason in consultation with the responsible person.
  • Contact with customers to discuss options for adjusting the order.
  • Administrative recording of planned orders in our IT platform, so that the execution can be done correctly within the involved teams and their responsibilities.
  • Provide clear and complete transport instructions to drivers, subcontractors or charters via our planning system to the onboard computers of the drivers and subcontractors.
  • Guiding and following up the drivers during the execution of their assignment. Anticipatory communication to the customer, if there are things in the order process that do not go as planned. If necessary, look for alternative solutions together with the customer.
  • The collection and timely registration in the information processing system of all relevant data regarding the order, during and after execution, so that correct administrative processing is ensured. (Data Integrity)
  • Testing, monitoring and discussing the competence of the drivers and suppliers with the responsible person.
  • Briefly following the progress of the current planning per driver and estimating the consequences for his next orders.
  • Report non-conformities and assist in recording facts, causes and measures to prevent the same errors in the future.
  • Follow up and inform technical and periodic inspections.
  • Ensure customer friendliness at all times.

Your profile

  • Education: Minimum secondary education. Education preferably in a logistics, transport-related and/or business economics direction.
  • Knowledge of ADR legislation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the practice of professional freight transport.
  • Languages: Dutch, French, German and English.
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office packages.
